About Crema
Crema Coffee Garage is a specialty coffee roaster, wholesaler, machine specialist and brew gear retailer.
Sydney circa 1880, Austin Samuel Callachor, a renowned coffee and tea merchant establishes the First Call coffee venue. A thriving coffee palace quickly becomes the go-to place for coffee and tea lovers in Sydney's booming Circular Quay. Austin pioneered a legacy that his great-grandson, Tim Peters and Crema Coffee Garage, carries on today.
Crema Coffee Garage coffee represents the values and a tradition that dates back over 140 years: hard work, creativity and consistency. Coffee was the lifeblood of the community back then, as it is today.
Starting in 2002, Crema roasted coffee beans for our own Espresso Bar and began to develop blends for our customers. Crema eventually became Crema Coffee House and we began trading as Austin’s Coffee Machines as well, a tip of the hat to the man that started it all.
In 2015, we completely rebranded with Crema Coffee Garage. In the same year, we expanded under Crema Coffee Garage to open a second location in Enoggera, Brisbane. Which is now home to Tank Stream Social, Brisbane’s newest foodie destination.
Crema Coffee Garage represents the values the Peters and their company still hold dear more than 140 years on: hard work, creativity and consistency are the keys to success. We still believe in the magic of coffee, which first built those coffee palaces in the 1880s and continues to inspire Australians today.
